About Lori & Bobby
Hi, I’m Lori Martin—wife, writer, and co-pilot in love and life.
I’m the author of Nobody Says Darling Anymore, a Christian relationship blog where I share stories, insights, and advice from over 35 years of marriage. My husband Bobby and I have built a connection that people often notice. Friends have called our love “profoundly affectionate,” “in a class by itself,” and even “inspiring.”
I’m not a therapist or counselor. I’m a woman who’s lived through the real stuff—joy, grit, grace, and the occasional parachute-packing panic before a race.
Yes, race. Bobby is a professional race car driver, and we’ve spent years traveling the country with our Top Alcohol Funny Car. I pack the parachutes, he hits the throttle, and together we’ve built a life full of speed, stories, and soul-deep connection. Racing is woven into our love story, and many of the lessons we’ve learned on the track apply to relationships: timing matters, trust is everything, and sometimes you just have to hold on tight.
You can keep up with our racing shenanigans at Bobby Martin Racing.
By day, I lead Quality and Continuous Improvement for one of the world’s largest corporations. It’s quite different from being a quasi-relationship counselor, I know—but it’s a job I love and appreciate.

💌 Why I Started This Christian Relationship Blog
I created Nobody Says Darling Anymore for two kinds of people:
- Those searching for love in a dating world that feels more like a swipe-and-dismiss game than a path to connection.
- And those who’ve found love but feel it slipping away—intimacy fading under the weight of life’s distractions and emotional distance.
This blog is a haven for both. It’s where we talk about finding and keeping timeless love in a modern world. It’s witty, heartfelt, and wise—sometimes funny, sometimes raw, always loving.
I share stories from our marriage, insights from others, and truths I’ve found in Scripture that still speak to today’s relationship struggles. I’m a Jesus follower, and I believe love is sacred, intimacy is worth protecting, and grace is the glue that holds us together.
But you don’t have to share my faith to find something meaningful here. If you’re tired of dating burnout, confused about connection, or quietly grieving the loss of closeness in your relationship, you’re welcome here.

Thank you, Jan! I have always appreciated your friendship and support. By the way, you will go down in my own personal history as having commented the very first time on my blog. I have always been interested in discovering for myself how to be the very best wife possible, and I’m hoping that through this interaction with others, I will learn a lot, too.

I always appreciate your advice and your humility – the two do not often go together! It is so refreshing to talk to someone who is so affirming of me and my relationship.
